Who We Are
We are an environmental education facility of the Bucks County Dept. of Parks & Recreation located on a 65 acre nature preserve adjacent to the Churchville Reservoir in Northampton Twp. Founded in 1964, we were the first nature center in Bucks County. You can take a leisurely hike through our two miles of trails, visit our native wildlife gardens, journey through our exhibit filled visitor center, or participate in one of the various programs offered throughout the year including themed events, weekend programs & nature walks, our seasonal Native Butterfly House, campfire programs, summer camps, and even scheduled educational programs for schools, scouts, birthday parties, and private groups.

Recurring Activities
  • Saturday Morning Bird Walks - Every Saturday morning at 8:00 am Through March. Time will switch to 7:00 am April 5th. Free guided walk. Approximately 2 hours on a mile long round trip.

  • 2025 Butterfly House Opening - Tentatively planned for the beginning of July.
  • Arthropalooza - August 2nd & 3rd from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm

    We are NOT a wildlife rehab and are NOT equipped to properly take care of injured or baby wildlife. We also do NOT have the resources to adopt pets.

    Join us for our Frog Call Campfire on Saturday, May 3rd from 7:30 - 9:30 pm! Learn about frogs and listen to their croaks and calls, followed by a toasted marshmallow around the campfire.
